The WCP GreyT 2 Stage Telescope (.060" Wall) is a lightweight, modular telescoping solution designed for FIRST Robotics Competition teams building compact and efficient linear mechanisms. Starting as a two stage system, this telescope can be configured up to four stages, allowing teams to customize extension length and performance based on game requirements.
Designed for use with thinner wall tubing, the GreyT Telescope balances strength and weight while maintaining smooth, reliable motion through an all bearing design. The system eliminates sliders, reducing friction and wear over repeated cycles. Powered by the Kraken X60 motor, the telescope delivers the force needed for elevators, climbers, and other precision controlled linear mechanisms.
The GreyT Telescope can be locked in place using either a ratchet and pawl or the WCP Friction Brake, enabling mechanisms to hold position securely without continuous motor power. With no CNC machining required, this system lowers the barrier to advanced telescoping designs and helps teams implement reliable linear motion with minimal effort.
