The CANdle™ from CTR Electronics is a versatile, high-efficiency DC voltage regulator and LED controller designed for FRC robotics, competitive robotics, and automation applications. Equipped with eight onboard individually addressable RGB LEDs, CANdle™ supports a variety of built-in animations and allows direct LED control via CAN bus, CAN FD, or WS2812B pulse-train, enabling complex visual effects without additional wiring.
This robust device also provides full voltage and current monitoring, short-circuit, overcurrent, and thermal protections, ensuring safe operation even in demanding robotics environments. Its capability to daisy-chain multiple devices from a single power source makes it ideal for multi-device LED and voltage control setups on robots or automation platforms. CANdle™ is fully Phoenix 6-compatible, unlocking advanced high-performance control features for FRC teams and professional robotics projects.

- Control via CAN bus/CAN FD or WS2812B pulse-train; supports external 12V or 5V addressable LED strips and high-side duty cycle modulation for downstream 12V systems
- Auto-detects input type for plug-and-play operation; CAN FD compatible with Phoenix and Phoenix Pro for advanced control
- 5V output powers peripherals (Jetson Nano, Raspberry Pi, etc.)
- Comprehensive protection: reverse input power, short-circuit/overcurrent, and thermal safeguards with real-time voltage and current monitoring
