Introducing the Talon FXS™: A high-performance, standalone motor controller built for seamless integration with the CTR Electronics software ecosystem, including Phoenix Pro. While it's optimized for use with CTRE’s Minion brushless motor, Talon FXS™ also supports a wide range of third-party brushed and brushless motors, offering unmatched flexibility.
Whether you're using CTR Electronics motors or motors from other vendors, the Talon FXS™ delivers reliable, field-proven control and smooth commutation.
Talon FXS™also employs methods to reduce hall sensor velocity measurement noise and phase delay - a common problem with similar standalone motor controllers. Phoenix Pro users also benefit with “Advanced Hall Support” which can increase motor peak efficiency as high as an additional 2% percentage points and further reduce velocity measurement noise, making it ideal for velocity closed loop modes.
