The Talon FXS™ is a versatile, high-performance standalone motor controller designed for FRC robotics, competitive automation, and professional robotics applications. Optimized for use with CTR Electronics’ Minion brushless motors, the Talon FXS™ also supports a wide range of third-party brushed and brushless DC motors, providing unmatched flexibility for custom robotics and automation projects.
Engineered to minimize hall sensor velocity measurement noise and phase delay—common challenges in standalone motor controllers—the Talon FXS™ delivers smooth, reliable commutation. When paired with Phoenix Pro, the “Advanced Hall Support” feature further increases peak motor efficiency by up to 2% while reducing velocity measurement noise, making it ideal for velocity closed-loop control and high-performance drivetrain applications.
With its integrated Phoenix 6 API compatibility, the Talon FXS™ provides precise PID control, motion profiling, and multiple software features for advanced motor control in FRC, mobile robotics, and industrial automation systems.
