The Talon FXS™ is a versatile, high-performance standalone motor controller designed for FIRST robotics builds, automation, and professional robotics applications. Built for CTRE's Minion brushless motors, the Talon FXS™ also supports a wide range of third-party brushed and brushless motors, tgiving flexibility for your custom robotics and automation projects.
Many standalone motor controllers struggle with hall sensor velocity noise and phase lag, which degrades low-speed control and introduces jitter. The Talon FXS™ eliminates these bottlenecks at the hardware and firmware level to deliver smooth, reliable motor commutation right out of the box.
- Low-Noise Signal Processing: Filters out raw hall sensor noise and phase delay, giving control loops clean velocity data for precise drivetrain and mechanism tracking.
