The Talon FXS™ is a versatile, high-performance standalone motor controller designed for FRC robotics, competitive automation, and professional robotics applications. Optimized for use with CTR Electronics’ Minion brushless motors, the Talon FXS™ also supports a wide range of third-party brushed and brushless DC motors, providing unmatched flexibility for custom robotics and automation projects.
Engineered to minimize hall sensor velocity measurement noise and phase delay- common challenges in standalone motor controllers, the Talon FXS™ delivers smooth, reliable commutation. When paired with Phoenix Pro, the “Advanced Hall Support” feature further increases peak motor efficiency by up to 2% while reducing velocity measurement noise, making it ideal for velocity closed-loop control and high-performance drivetrain applications.
With its integrated Phoenix 6 API compatibility, the Talon FXS™ provides precise PID control, motion profiling, and multiple software features for advanced motor control in FRC, mobile robotics, and industrial automation systems.
