Kraken Motors Pre-Order & Pricing Update

WestCoast Products and CTR Electronics are excited to share that pre-orders for the Kraken X60 and Kraken X44 motors will officially open July 23 at 1 PM EST / 10 AM PST.

We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting restock, and we’re thrilled to report that a large production run is on its way—with motors shipping from WCP & CTRE at the same time to ensure fair access.

Kraken motors are expected to begin shipping by late August.

Updated Price

Due to newly imposed tariffs, the price of both the Kraken X60 and X44 will now be $217.99 USD.

We know this isn’t the news teams want to hear, and we didn’t take this decision lightly. Our goal has always been to keep Kraken pricing as accessible as possible while delivering top-tier performance and durability.

Throughout the offseason, we explored production alternatives in regions like Taiwan, Vietnam, and Malaysia—markets less impacted by these tariffs. Unfortunately, we were unable to find a solution that preserved the quality, consistency, and performance we’ve become known for, while also reducing the cost impact in a meaningful way, and allowing motors to ship in a time frame that would be useful for teams.

We’ll continue to monitor options and look for sustainable long-term solutions, but for now, this price reflects the real-world costs of producing a motor that teams can rely on.

To help ease the pricing transition, we’re offering a bundle deal:

• Buy 10 or more Kraken motors (any mix of X44/X60) and get $50 off CANivores.
• To receive the discount, the CANivore must be in the same cart as your Kraken motors at checkout.
